About Flyleaf Bindery

Flyleaf Bindery provides book conservation and hand bookbinding services. It is owned and operated by conservator and bookbinder Samantha Couture. Samantha works with university libraries, historical societies, book dealers, collectors, artists, and individuals. Samantha is a Professional Associate of the American Institute of the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC) and a member of the Guild of Bookworkers. She has twenty years of experience in book conservation. She has supervised the conservation lab of the New York State Library and worked in the conservation lab of the Cornell University Library. She holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, and an MFA from Cornell University. She is currently pursuing a Library Science degree in preservation from Simmons College.
